With the assistance and financial support of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the Humboldt Union in Bulgaria organised its latest scientific conference (Kolleg) at the end of November 2015. In this way, the tradition of holding a scientific forum every 2 years with the participation of Bulgarian Humboldtians and scientists from Germany was maintained. The aim of the conference was to become acquainted with the achievements of the Humboldtians obtained in cooperation with scientists from Germany and the establishment of useful contacts through the presentation of scientific reports by scientists from Bulgaria, Germany and Bulgaria’s neighbouring countries. A very important element of every Humboldt conference is the active participation of young scientists who wish to become fellows of the Foundation.
