The members of the Section “Chemical and Engineering Sciences” of the Humboldt Union in Bulgaria are distinguished, internationally renowned chemists and engineers with research interests in inorganic chemistry, catalysis, physical chemistry, theoretical chemistry, organic chemistry, polymers, energy, materials technology and materials science, chemical engineering, and other fields. Thanks to the strong competition and the high scientific standards applied in the selection of fellows, the members of the Section are among the leading scientists in Bulgaria. They have specialised at established universities and Max Planck Institutes across Germany. The Humboldtians of the Section are leading scientists and university lecturers at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia University, the Technical University of Sofia, and other institutions.
